The PS5 launches today, November 12, and for gamers who didn’t manage to preorder the console—it’s not too late. Preorders launched on September 17 and quickly sold out but, on launch day, the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition consoles will be sold online only by numerous retailers including Best Buy, Target and Walmart.
The PS5 will sell for $499.99 and the PS5 Digital Edition for $399.99, with some retailers offering finance plans for those who prefer to pay in installments.

What time will the PS5 go on sale?
The PS5 will be launched today, but retailers may start selling it at different times. At Walmart, for example, the console will go on sale at 12 p.m. ET.
When will the PS5 be in stores?
Sony announced that the PS5 would be sold exclusively online on launch day. Target has said the console may be sold in stores after launch day if there is stock available. GameStop will be selling the PS5 exclusively in store on Black Friday.
PS5 Best Buy
Best Buy will sell the PS5 online though the retailer has not announced at what time it will be available. Once purchased, customers will be able to pick up the console in-store or via contactless kerbside collection.
The PS5 is featured in Best Buy’s Black Friday ad, so more consoles may become available on November 27.
PS5 Target
Target will be selling the PS5 online, but it will only be available to be picked up from branches with stock. The PS5 console will be sold in stores after launch day if there is stock available.
PS5 Walmart
Walmart will sell the PS5 online throughout the day, with limited quantities becoming available on its website at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. ET, while stocks last.
PS5 GameStop
GameStop says the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition is “scheduled to arrive on store shelves” on launch day, despite Sony saying all “day of launch sales” would be online. Sony has also warned against camping outside stores, saying: “Be safe, stay home and place your order online.”
On Wednesday, GameStop tweeted that it would have a very limited number of PS5 console bundles available online “that evening”, but did not specify a time.
GameStop has also confirmed that it will sell the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition in store only on Black Friday, but warned that there would be a limited number of consoles available.
Amazon
Amazon will be selling the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition on launch day.
