I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but our kids’ teachers have been through a lot this year. Sure, we all have been through a lot, but these people are warriors. They’re Zooming with 20 fidgety, distracted first graders every single day for hours on end. Or they’re putting their own health at risk to teach our kids in person. Or they’re managing a mix of both, which means they’re experiencing the worst of both worlds.
(I think if the kids in my son’s hybrid class could simply remember to take attendance on their virtual days, his teacher’s quality of life would drastically improve. Such a simple—yet rather important—thing that none of us can seem to do with any real consistency.)
In case you’ve forgotten to say “thank you for navigating through this nightmare and still managing to teach my kid something” recently, Hallmark is here to make it extra easy on you—by giving away 1 million free thank-you cards for educators.
Starting this week, Hallmark is giving away the cards via its website. They come in packs of three and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. To request yours, you’ll need to provide Hallmark with your name, email address, and mailing address.
G/O Media may get a commission
The cards should arrive within 30 days and will feature three different designs. One says, “Teachers are a force for good,” one says, “You make the world a better place,” and the third features a smiling sun. You could give the latter two to your child’s school nurse, bus driver, cafeteria worker, administrator, tutor, or coach to spread the appreciation around.
