Nvidia announces $399 GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, available December 2nd – The Verge

Nvidia has announced its new $399 GeForce RTX 3060 Ti card today. It’s the latest addition to the company’s RTX 3000 series lineup and the most affordable yet. Nvidia says the RTX 3060 Ti has been designed to outperform both the last-generation RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super. On average, Nvidia says it will be 40 percent faster than its predecessor, the RTX 2060 Super.

The RTX 3060 Ti will be available worldwide on December 2nd, priced at $399, £369 in the UK, and €348 (excluding tax). The card itself looks very similar to the RTX 3070 and is identical in size. It also includes the same traditional dual-fan setup. The main visual difference is that the RTX 3060 Ti uses a lighter shade of gray instead of the darker gray found on current RTX 3000 series cards.

The RTX 3060 Ti comes with 8GB of video memory, a base clock of 1410Mhz, and a boost clock of 1665Mhz. It’s the typical dual-slot design, with Nvidia’s new 12-pin power connector. Nvidia is recommending a 600W power supply for the RTX 3060 Ti, and the card can draw up to 200 watts of power.

Like the rest of Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards, the RTX 3060 Ti will also be capable of real-time ray tracing and will include DLSS support and the ability to run Nvidia’s suite of RTX apps. Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition card goes on sale on December 2nd priced at $399, and there will be a variety of third-party cards available, too.
