New York Giants set to start Colt McCoy against the Seattle Seahawks – Field Gulls

When the New York Giants travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday, they appear likely to be down one major piece. After being limited in practice all week with a hamstring injury, quarterback Daniel Jones was declared doubtful for their Week 13 game in Seattle.

Jones left New York’s win over the Bengals last week and did not return, with Colt McCoy finishing the game in his place. McCoy is now in line to start against the Seahawks—but not for the first time, as our own Mookie Alexander noted.

That’s right, McCoy was the Browns’ starter in the infamous 6-3 loss Seattle (and we, the people) suffered in Cleveland in 2011, when Charlie Whitehurst and McCoy combined for 275 yards passing.

With Russell Wilson on the other side this time around, it should be a different story for at least one of the two offenses involved when the Seahawks host the Giants on Sunday.
