James Harden to the Bucks: Whats the probability? – The Athletic

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first media session of the season created more questions than answers on Wednesday. The NBA’s back-to-back MVP gave little indication about whether or not he plans to sign a supermax extension that would keep him in Milwaukee through the 2025-26 season.

On Thursday, the list of questions grew when The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Rockets star James Harden added the Bucks and Heat to his list of preferred trade destinations, a list that already featured the Nets and 76ers.

Harden’s appeal is obvious. The 2017-18 NBA MVP has led the league in scoring for three straight seasons and tallied 34.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game last season. Harden, 31, also led the league in assists per game during the 2016-17 season and remains under contract for the next two years before he gets to decide on a $47.3 million player option for the 2022-23 season.
