Pete Carroll provides Seahawks injury updates ahead of Rams contest – Seahawks Wire

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll provided a number of player injury updates on Saturday morning, one day before his team is set to square off against the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC West title.

Only one player was ruled out ahead of the matchup, running back DeeJay Dallas, who has a sprained ankle. Three other players with listed with injury designations.

Guard Mike Iupati is designated as doubtful with a stinger. Carroll said Jordan Simmons is likely to get the nod Sunday in his place.

“Jordan has done a really nice job,” Carroll said. “He’s a big physical kid, really comfortable playing now, he’s played a lot of football for us, so it’s not like we have a guy coming in that doesn’t have the experience. Jordan can play, he’s played against these guys in the past, so we’re looking forward to him playing well if that’s the way it goes.”

As for another member of the offensive line, tackle Brandon Shell, he remains questionable with an ankle injury. He may see some limited time in the contest, however.

“He’s got a chance to help us, so we’re looking forward to him dressing and being with us,” Carroll said.

Safety Damarious Randall was Seattle’s final player to make Friday’s injury report, listed as questionable with a foot injury.
