At least one current New York Knick hasn’t forgotten what was said about the team in the offseason.
The Knicks have gotten off to a surprising 4-3 start, currently the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference, behind new head coach Tom Thibodeau. After finishing 21-45 in 2019-20, few expected anything from this squad – and guard Reggie Bullock apparently is keeping receipts.
“Don’t believe the hype… we still ain’t “S–T” like they counted us out in every way,” Bullock tweeted on Monday night.
Bullock is in his second year with the Knicks, having signed with New York as a free agent in 2019. Through seven games, the starting shooting guard is averaging 8.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 29.7 minutes per game.
The Knicks knocked off Trae Young and the explosive Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, and remain a pleasant surprise through the early part of the season.
