Xbox Game Pass January 2021 free games: Injustice 2, eFootball PES 2001, Edith Finch – Polygon

Seven new games are coming to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass in January, the company announced Tuesday. This includes the likes of eFootball PES 2021, Injustice 2, and What Remains of Edith Finch.

The first round of games will be added to the service on Jan. 7, with eFootball PES 2021 Season Update, Injustice 2, and The Little Acre. Both The Little Acre, an ID@Xbox game, and eFootball PES 2021 Season Update will be playable on Android and console, while Injustice 2 adds Windows PC to that platform lineup.

Neoverse, Torchlight 3, What Remains of Edith Finch, and YIIK: A Postmodern RPG will all be added on Jan. 14, with each of the ID@Xbox games available on Windows PC — save for Torchlight 3, which is available on Windows PC and Android.

In December, Microsoft announced that The Yakuza Remastered Collection, which is includes Yakuza 3, 4, and 5, will be added to Xbox Game Pass on Jan. 28. Individual games will be available, too. At that same time, Microsoft announced that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition would be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, too — though it’s been there since Dec. 15.

With new games added to the service, it means others will leave. On Jan. 15, Microsoft will remove FTL: Faster Than Light, My Friend Pedro, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, and Tekken 7 from the platform.

Microsoft is running a deal where customers can purchase Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1 per month, for three months. This will be available until Jan. 25, Microsoft said. After those three months, the service will cost $14.99 per month for Game Pass Ultimate, which allows players access to games on Android, consoles, and mobile devices. People who want access only to Windows PC or only console can purchase those subscriptions separately, for $9.99 a month.
