In order to extend their playoff streak to an NBA record 23 successive looks, the Spurs would need to either leap-frog Sacramento, Portland, New Orleans and Memphis to take over the eighth area– or increase at least as high as ninth to potentially force a play-in series with the No. 8 group.

Other games on the Spurs revamped schedule include: Aug. 2 against Memphis, Aug. 3 versus Philadelphia, Aug. 5 versus Denver, Aug. 7 against Utah, Aug. 9 versus New Orleans, Aug. 11 against Houston and an Aug. 13 rematch versus Utah.

The Spurs should try to achieve that without second-leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge, who has actually been ruled out after going through shoulder surgery in April.
