Purdue basketball team completes journey to Maryland after original charter plane diverted to Indianapolis – Journal & Courier

WEST LAFAYETTE – After its charter plane was diverted to Indianapolis, the Purdue men’s basketball team completed its journey to Maryland on Monday night. 

The plane carrying the Boilermakers and the traveling party landed at Baltimore/Washington International just after 11:30 p.m. Purdue plays the Terrapins on Tuesday in College Park at 6:30 p.m.

The team left the Purdue airport at 6:39 p.m., according to flightaware.com, but turned around near Columbus, Ohio and headed for Indianapolis due to a mechanical issue.

The plane landed at Indianapolis International at 7:52 p.m. without incident. 

The team changed planes and left Indianapolis around 9:30 p.m.
