Over the past year, there have been ongoing rumours about the Mass Effect trilogy remaster coming to the Nintendo Switch.

In November 2020, EA officially announced the game would be arriving on Microsoft and Sony’s consoles alongside a PC release. At the time, this put an end to speculation about a possible Nintendo version.

Now, though, there’s new hope. In an interview with our friends over at Eurogamer, the director of Mass Effect’s Legendary Edition, Mac Walters, has mentioned how EA and Bioware haven’t completely ruled it out just yet.

“Personally, I’d love it. But ultimately, I think we had a path set and it was like, let’s finish that, then let’s see sort of where we’re at.”

It’s further explained, in the words of Eurogamer, how the Legendary Edition originally “got off the ground” on “PC and existing consoles” and these particular platforms remain Bioware’s current focus.
