Chelsea 1-0 Norwich City, Premier League: Post-match reaction, ratings – We Aint Got No History

Chelsea were absolutely dominant in the first-half, if not precisely threatening as the game quickly settled into an attack-vs-defense exercise.

Carefree.

Half-chances for Pulisic and Giroud passed without much issue while Kurt Zouma put an open header large with half the net to target at from among the half-dozen corners that Chelsea won in the very first half.

Chelsea were unable to build on that momentum in the second half, and Norwich started to come into the video game around the hour-mark. Chelsea addressed that short resurgence with a flurry of decent opportunities, forcing Krul into a couple excellent conserves (Pulisic, Alonso), prior to both groups mixed their cards.

Job done.

Chelsea continued to press for a second as nerves increased. Norwich postured no real risk, and the points were safe.

Simply when it looked like we d head into the break completely disappointed and halfway asleep, Giroud lost his guy to get on completion of an ideal Pulisic cross and head Chelsea into the lead from point blank range on the stroke of half-time.
