Pokémon Go is hosting a Roselia Community Day on Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in your local time.
Roselia’s evolution, Roserade, is the best grass-type Pokémon in the game for raiding, so it’s definitely worth picking a few up while its spawn rate is increased. As with other Community Days, Roselia’s Shiny rate will also be increased, making it easy to find one.
Budew, the baby form of Roselia, will also be hatching out of two kilometer eggs. Budew cannot be found in the wild, so if you want one, you’ll need to hatch it out of an egg.
How do I find a Shiny Roselia?
Since Roselia will be popping up everywhere, just tap every Roselia you see until you get a Shiny one. You’ll find one sooner or later, as the Shiny rate on Community Days is boosted to about a one in 24 rate.
What special move does Roserade learn?
When evolved on Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. in your local time, Roserade will learn Weather Ball and Bullet Seed. Neither of these moves are particularly good for raids and gyms, but they do diversify Roserade’s moveset for PvP content.
How do I make the most of this Community Day?
During the event, any eggs put into Incubators will have their hatch distance lowered to 1⁄4 the usual amount. Make sure to hatch any of the long distance eggs you have.
Once you get your Roserade, set it up with Razor Leaf and Grass Knot to have a hard hitting grass-type. It’s definitely worth to hoard a couple of these to make a strong team.
If you’re deciding which Shiny Roselia to evolve at the end of the day, try using one of the new search strings. Sort your ‘mons by “recent” using the lower right icon, and then type “4*” in the search box at the top. This will let you know if you have any 100% IV Roselia. Most people won’t be so lucky, so next you’ll want to type “3*” in the search box, which will show you any recent ‘mons that are 80% or above. Appraise these to see which one is best, and then evolve your new buddy!
