The 2005 LucasArts release Star Wars: Republic Commando appears to be en route to the Nintendo Switch.

Well-known dataminer @NWPlayer123 has spotted a Nintendo server update that seemingly confirms Aspyr Media is publishing Republic Commando on the Switch. Aspyr is the same team that has ported across Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars Racer.

Stars Wars: Republic Commando is a first-person squad-based shooter that was originally exclusive to the Xbox and PC and gained a bit of a cult following. This would obviously mark the first time it’s ever been released on a Nintendo platform.

If we get a more official update about this one, we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, tell us in the comments if this would be a Star Wars game you would be interested in playing on Switch.
