Today Rabbit & Bear Studios had quite a few reveals to make about its upcoming JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s a spiritual successor to the Suikoden franchise in development by its key original creators.

First of all, we learn that the game will be published by 505 games. Below you can read about the partnership and see a dedicated video.

“We are happy to announce today that we, Rabbit & Bear Studios, have partnered with 505 Games as a publisher for the Eiyuden Chronicle project.

We will begin a relationship with them as equals, which will allow us to fully control the direction and atmosphere of the game, as well as its rights.

This was only made possible thanks to all the fans who cheered us on, supported us, and did so many things to make sure the Eiyuden Chronicle Kickstarter project ended up as a huge success. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts again, and truly feel like this is another victory for us to all celebrate together.

Thanks to this success, we are confident that we will be able to deliver Eiyuden Chronicle to you all at an even higher level of quality than we originally planned. Thank you!”

We also get the reveal of one of the characters that will appear in the game and the “Savage Crab” monster, on top of a couple of work-in-progress screenshots.

“Dr. Corque

Profession: The University of Carles

Gender: Male

Age: 57

Favorite food: Baumkuchen

This “spin doctor,” as he likes to call himself, has a deep love for beigoma, a game of wind-up tops. As he likes to tell Nowa and the others, “The strongest bonds begin with these cords.”

A student of physics, he became enamored with the elusive, unpredictable movement of a spinning top. Was it possible the will of the spinner was acting on the top somehow? And thus began Dr. Corque’s search for a player that could prove his hypothesis.”

“Beigoma is a microcosm of the world, a map of what life should be. I’m looking for a warrior who’s worth devoting my life to.”

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes’ campaign was launched on Kickstarter a few months ago, reaching its basic founding goal in two hours and unlocking console platforms shortly after. It ended at a whopping $4,571 million, making this the third most-funded game on the platform.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will come to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and a possible next-gen Nintendo platform in fall 2022.
