SEVERAL SOURCES FROM THE SAC JOAQUIN SECTION TELL KCRA, THAT FALL SPORTS WILL BE MOVED TO JANUARY OF 2021, WHICH INCLUDES FOOTBALL WITH WINTER AND SPRING SPORTS TO FOLLOW. The California Interscholastic Federation will reveal changes to the upcoming academic years sports season due to the unique coronavirus outbreak.The announcement will be made Monday morning by CIF, which is the governing body of high school athletics. Numerous sources with the Sac-Joaquin section informed KCRA 3 fall sports will be transferred to January 2021; winter season and spring sports will occur after.It is unclear if every CIF section in the state will follow the very same timeline, sources stated.
