Crysis Remastered absolutely runs on Nintendo Switch, and it looks like this – Polygon

You can watch the video game in action at the top of this post, and Im not sure how Crytek managed to wring a lot out of Nintendos hardware. The Switch can, in reality, run Crysis, as the old joke goes.

Crytek and Nintendo have released a brief video revealing off how Crysis Remastered operates on Nintendo Change, giving us our very first take a look at a technological marvel that still may dissatisfy fans of the initial.

Crysis was always a video game that greatly relied on its visuals to wow its audience, and theres no getting away that the Switch port of Crysis Remastered is going to be the worst-looking variation of the game, relatively speaking.

Still, getting this sort of lighting and performance onto the Switch is its own sort of magic trick, even if were being both seeing performed in a scene that so restricts your view in this example:

Which is why Crysis Remastered on Nintendo Switch is such an intriguing contradiction. Its the worst-looking variation of a video game that made a splash due to its visuals, but its nevertheless a fantastic creative achievement that its running this well on hardware so minimal in power.

Its also the only portable way to play Crysis Remastered, just in case you wished to review the series when youre traveling from your living room to your bedroom while in quarantine. Invite to the future!
