We understand a reasonable bit about the PlayStation 5 controller. For beginners, it has a two-tone aesthetic that looks drastically various from the DualShock 4 and every PlayStation pad that came before it. (I still believe it looks like a tiny robot from Detroit: Become Human.) We understand that it includes adaptive triggers which can offer resistance while video gaming (to mimic the feeling of drawing a bow, or driving a vehicle through thick mud), much better rumble– sorry, “haptic feedback”– and a built-in microphone. The lightbar has been moved to the sides of the touch pad, the Share button is now a Create faster way, and the Home button appears like the traditional PlayStation logo.
However whats it like to hold? Is the additional weight obvious in your hands? And is the battery life any much better than the unjustifiably-bad DualShock 4? Hopefully Geoff Keighley, the creator of The Game Awards, will have the ability to answer at least a few of these concerns today. The reporter and presenter will be hosting “a first appearance (and play)” of the new controller on YouTube at 12PM ET/9AM PT. We do not understand what games hell be booting up, but Ghost of Tsushima is out today and Insomniacs Spider-Man has been utilized many times to display the systems power behind closed doors.
