I spent this past weekend with my father. (Also the rest of my family, but stop getting distracted.) It was Father’s Day weekend, but it was also his 70th birthday, a number I know he is thrilled to have associated with him on the internet.
But I’d like to give him one extra gift, and y’all are going to help me. Since I have worked at The Athletic, my dad has loved nothing more than to call me and update me on how many comments my stories are getting. “Dad, thanks, but I try not to read the comments,” I always tell him.
