Florida State landed a commitment from Lafayette (Ala.) four-star offensive lineman Antavious ‘Tae’ Woody on Monday, a day after the conclusion of his official visit. Woody said on Sunday, during his exit interview with Noles247.com that his commitment was coming soon and he followed through on those words a day later.

Woody chose FSU over a dozen options, including Auburn, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M, USC and more. He shared the primary reason why he felt comfortable at FSU this past weekend during his interview on Sunday.

“It’s just positive [at FSU]. They give you a reason to look up to them,” Woody said.

The complete interview with Woody can be found here.

The 6-foot-3, 291-pound lineman has been recruited to FSU by offensive line coach Alex Atkins and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham. He possesses great arm length which gives him versatility on the offensive line. He likely begins his career as an interior lineman for the Seminoles.

He is ranked as the No. 244 overall prospect and No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the nation for the 2022 class by the 247Sports.com Composite Recruiting Rankings.

He marks FSU’s fifth commitment by an official visitor this weekend, joining Crystal Springs (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Trevion Williams, Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star offensive tackle Qae’shon Sapp, Brunswick (Ga.) three-star interior offensive lineman Kanaya Charlton and Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic three-star defensive lineman Bishop Thomas.

FSU’s class is now ranked No. 3 in the 247Sports.com Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.
