A prominent middle-aged Fortnite player with a large online gaming following allegedly used his influence to rape children, reports said.
Raulino de Oliveira Maciel was arrested Tuesday and charged with sex attacks on two children, ages 10 and 14, earlier this year in Brazil, according to The Sun.
Maciel, whose username is RaulZito, allegedly promised the young victims — who are child theater, film and TV actors — he could get them jobs in the gaming world and television industry, the article said.
The middle-aged suspect has hundreds of thousands of followers on his social media channels, which he used to live-stream himself playing the popular online video game, according to the report.
Maciel wrote that he plays alongside “young talents” on the description of his YouTube channel, which features an animated banner of the suspect frolicking with young kids.
The portly Brazilian gamer, who sports a pink beard and blue hair, is also suspected of abusing other children, according to the article.
SBT Games parted ways with the influencer after his arrest, writing in a statement that it “is awaiting clarification of the facts and the result of the investigation,” the outlet said.
