While Matheny tended to various roster problems and a players personal issue to name a few things in his office, he called a press reporter back five times to complete an interview prior to the Royals took the field for a video game in Kansas City.
Matheny stated he was consulted on whether he would like to play an exhibition game at Busch. The teams will exchange home-and-home three-game series in August and September.
