Friday morning the Portland Trail Blazers made the move they’ve been trying to make for weeks. They added a big-bodied wing-type in Larry Nance, Jr., a F-C with the ability to raise the floor of the team, but perhaps not the ceiling. To accomplish this, Portland swung Derrick Jones, Jr. and a heavily-protected first round pick to the Chicago Bulls in a deal that also sent Lauri Markkanen to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Host Danny Marang takes a look at the ins and outs of the trade. What does this do for Portland? Has their position in the West really improved? Where will Nance fit in? Was an additional first round pick too much to give up in this trade? What does Nance, Jr. DO to help the Blazers?
Danny also explores other moves the Blazers might make to fill the 14th roster spot and asks what grade you would give President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey for his offseason work?
