EA Sports announces 10 college legends teams for Madden NFL 22 – The Athletic

A college football video game is still in the works, but the latest update from Madden NFL 22 will get fans one step closer.

On Tuesday, EA Sports launched the “Campus Legends” limited-time event in Madden’s Superstar KO mode, featuring rosters of program legends at 10 different schools: Clemson, Miami (Fla.), LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Oregon, Nebraska and Michigan State. The Superstar KO mode allows players to compete in quick games with or against friends in various multiplayer modes. This Campus Legends event runs until Sept. 27.

Some players on the rosters of legendary alumni include Texas’ Vince Young, USC’s Reggie Bush, Jim Kelly and Ray Lewis at Miami, Deandre Hopkins and William “Refrigerator” Perry at Clemson and Tommie Frazier and Ndamukong Suh at Nebraska. The full rosters can be found here.

This isn’t the first time colleges have popped up in Madden recently. Introduced two years ago, Face of the Franchise mode allows a player to work up from a high school player to the NFL, including briefly playing in up to four college games.

The 10 schools available in that mode are the same 10 available for this special Campus Legends play, although previous versions included Florida State and Texas Tech.
