It looks like Ronnie Bell’s afternoon is done as Michigan gets ready to start the third quarter.
Bell had a big impact in a hurry during Saturday’s season opener against Western Michigan. He hauled in a huge touchdown pass from Cade McNamara and also had a long punt return with the special teams unit.
Unfortunately, it was on the punt return that Bell appeared to get injured. He stayed down for a while before getting helped off the field. Bell was unable to put any weight on his right leg while coming off the field.
According to photographer Patrick Barron, Bell was in a wheelchair in the stadium tunnel. His day is done, and we will have to wait and see the long-term severity of his injury.
