Chris Jones anticipated earlier today that the Kansas City Chiefs would win “five-plus” rings in the coming years. Colleague Tyreek Hill on Thursday went even further.
The large receiver said on ESPNs First Take that he thinks the packed Chiefs roster, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will win seven champions.
” Well, Im not gon na say hes informing a fib,” Hill said when inquired about Jones remarks. “But Chris Jones, hes definitely– hes absolutely a guy of his word, and were certainly producing something special here in KC, so I dont see why not. Why say 5? Why not go 7 rings? Today were just going after [ Michael] Jordan, so thats what we do. So Im going over 5, and Im stating seven.”

On Monday, in a radio interview with KCSP 610 Sports Radio, Jones said, “This is only the beginning.
“We prepare to have another parade and another parade and another parade. Were going to ensure we bring not one, not two, not 3, not 4, however five-plus rings to Kansas City. Its been 50 years of waiting, however the wait is over now. Its time to create a dynasty,” he stated.
The Chiefs, fresh off signing Jones and Mahomes to long-lasting extensions, are well positioned to control in the future. The Super Bowl champs have all of their core gamers now signed through at least 2021 while playing in their primes, setting up a possible dynasty run.
