Top D-tackle will make Ohio State official visit this weekend for Oregon game – 247Sports

In late July Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove defensive tackle Christen Miller dropped his Top 4 and included the Buckeyes. His Top 4 were Ohio State, USC, Georgia and Oregon. A month later, on August 25, Miller told Bucknuts he was looking to make an official visit to Ohio State sooner rather than later.

“I want to go to the Oregon game on an OV (official visit),” Miller told Bucknuts. “But it’s not locked in yet. I should know in about a week.”

This evening Miller took to Twitter to say he indeed will be in Columbus to visit the Buckeyes.

“I’m in Columbus This weekend yesssssssssir Go Buckeyes,” Miller posted on his Twitter account.

Miller also confirmed to Bucknuts this evening that it is an official visit.

This coming weekend will be one of two huge recruiting weekends for the Buckeyes during the regular season with the other being the weekend of Oct. 30 when Ohio State hosts Penn State.  Miller will join offensive tackle Earnest Greene from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco and defensive tackle/defensive end Caden Curry from Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove on official visits with the Buckeyes.

Also, many other top prospects will be making unofficial visits to Ohio State this coming weekend.

Miller has made one official visit so far, USC.

“I want to take all five official visits,” Miller said in late August. “I want to take Ohio State and Georgia. I don’t know the other two yet.”

Miller made it up to Ohio State in early June and did a workout with Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson. Recruits were allowed to do 1-hour workouts with one coach at a school starting June 1. Miller also did the same thing with Georgia and their defensive line coach in early June.

“Coach Johnson, that’s my daddy,” Miller told Bucknuts on Tuesday night. “Things are going good.with coach J. He tells me he wants me to be a part of something great there.”

Miller, who lived in Tampa (Fla.) before moving to Ellenwood, is good friends with Ohio State defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson who also went to Cedar Grove High School.

Miller is in no hurry to make his college choice.

“I’m going to announce Jan. 7 at the All-American Bowl,” Jackson said.
