Now that the first week of the NFL season has come and gone, how much faith do you have in the San Francisco 49ers?

No matter how much you might believe in coach Kyle Shanahan and the rest of the team, chances are that you don’t trust them as much as ESPN football analyst and former All-Pro linebacker Bart Scott. The ex-Jets player said on a recent edition of “Get Up!” that he’d willingly put his eyebrows on the line for the Niners’ Week 2 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The segment about the upcoming game began with Scott offering praise to San Francisco for looking “elite” this past Sunday, adding that the team would make Philly fans want to return all the Jalen Hurts jerseys they started buying after the Eagles’ win over the Falcons. Damien Woody then stepped into the picture and offered some common sense, reminding Scott that the Niners nearly blew a double-digit lead against the Lions in the fourth quarter.

In response, Scott made his unusual facial wager, which we do not recommend trying at home.

The former Pro Bowler is not one to be shy about making bold statements. In the 2011 playoffs, he gave his famous “CAN’T WAIT!” soundbite after helping the Jets make the AFC Championship in back-to-back seasons. Unfortunately, what he and the Jets ended up waiting for was a 24-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

For the sake of Scott’s brows, hopefully this proclamation goes a little bit better.
