Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes Of An Elusive Age – Definitive Edition Is No Longer Exclusive To Switch – Nintendo Life

Yesterday, an hour prior to Microsoft hosted its Xbox Games Showcase, The Game Awards developer and host, Geoff Keighley, ran a special pre-show including some “extra world premieres” and interesting exposes.
Square Enix turned up a couple of times throughout this event. As youve currently no doubt heard, its bringing Balan Wonderworld to the Nintendo Switch next Spring, but apart from this, it also revealed Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition would be launched on the Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation 4 on 4th December worldwide.
It indicates this boosted version of the game is no longer technically special to the Nintendo Switch. This charming role-playing video game – bear in mind – was offered on the Nintendo Switch in September 2019, so it will have experienced just over a year of exclusivity on Switch prior to rolling out on every other platform – including Microsofts subscription service, Xbox Game Pass. You can read more about the port over on our sibling website, Push Square.

This follows on from Square Enix launching its other RPG, Octopath Traveler, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in 2018, and just under a year later on making it available on the PC and more recently on Google Stadia.
