Braves recall Orlando Arcia, select contract of Dylan Lee – Talking Chop

More roster shuffling for the Atlanta Braves. The team announced Wednesday that they have selected the contract of lefty Dylan Lee and recalled infielder Orlando Arcia from Gwinnett. Reliever Edgar Santana was placed on the paternity list and Touki Toussaint is on the bereavement list.

Lee has put up a solid season for Gwinnett appearing in 34 games while posting a 1.58 ERA and a 2.69 FIP in 45 2/3 innings. He struck out 52 hitters and walked just six. Arcia will give the Braves another position player option for at least a few days. He has struggled in limited opportunities hitting .181/.231/.278 in 78 plate appearances.

Santana has appeared in 41 games for the Braves and has a 3.59 ERA and a 4.59 FIP in 42 2/3 innings. Toussaint has started 10 games and has made one relief appearance in 2021. He was in the bullpen Tuesday but did not get into the game.

The Braves have two more games remaining in Arizona and will then head to San Diego for the weekend.
