Nick Diaz and Robbie Lawler come face-to-face at the UFC 266 pre-fight press conference staredowns, but it’s Alex Volkanovski and Brian Ortega who have the really heated face-off.

UFC 266 takes place this weekend (Sept. 25, 2021) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). The combatants for the following three fights: Alex Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega, Valentina Shevchenko vs. Lauren Murphy, and Diaz vs. Lawler, joined Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Presiden Dana White for Thursday’s presser.

CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER! Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to T-Mobile Arena with a pair of thrilling world championship bouts. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 29 coaches collide when Featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, defends his title against No. 2-ranked contender, Brian Ortega. UFC 266’s co-main event will see women’s Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko go for her sixth consecutive title defense when she meets No. 3-seeded contender, Lauren Murphy. Last, and certainly not least, Nick Diaz returns against former Welterweight roost ruler, Robbie Lawler, in a five-round banger.

Diaz and Lawler will run things back 17 years after their first fight. The Stockton native won their first fight via knockout at 1:31 of round two (watch full fight here), improving to 9-2 as a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. Lawler dropped to 8-2 as a result of the outcome; however, both men were destined for greater things.
