Reportedly, half of all phone calls received by smart device users this year will be spam and scam calls. In other words, when you hear your phone ring you can flip a quarter to identify whether it is a legitimate call or a spam call.

Validated Caller is rolling out to the Google Phone app.

With “Verified Calls,” prior to a company calls you it sends Googles dedicated “Verified Calls” server its phone number, your phone number, and the reason for the call. When the organization calls your Android phone, Google compares the info from the call to the information it sent your Phone app. After a couple of minutes, the info about the call, including your phone number and the reason for it, is gotten rid of from Googles server.

With the assistance page up, the function could be all ready to run. Watch for the “Verified Caller” screen when you receive a call from a company on your Android phone. Remember though, lots of phone manufacturers have their own dialer app. This function is just found on the Phone app which can be
set up from the Google Play Store.

You can turn it off by opening the Phone app. Go to Settings > > Caller ID and spam (or Spam and Call Screen) and turn off Verified Calls. You likewise need to have the Google Phone app for this function to work, and have your phone number connected with your Google Account.

A Google Support Page discusses a function called “Verified Calls.” On the page,
Google says that Verified Calls helps you make “notified choices about incoming calls.” Google works with services to show the companys identity and the reason for the call. Google will also show the logo design of the business that is calling.
