Now Dr. Disrespect himself has spoken up, sending out a public tweet on the Twitch restriction:.

Its been interesting to see the reaction to this post online. Some people seem to concur that its all rather fishy. Others have accused me of– well, Im not rather sure what.
We have yet to hear anything substantial out of either Dr. Disrespect or Twitch, either, without any brand-new statements coming out of either camp. This may be due to the fact that Twitch merely does not share details when issuing an irreversible restriction according to Breslau:.
I do not believe this theory holds much water for a whole host of factors, and you should read Paul Tassis breakdown of why it truly doesnt make good sense (and has no verifiable sources) right here.

Its been a strange week for the video game neighborhood. And I mean weirder than a normal week, which is typically already quite weird.
” As is our procedure, we take suitable action when we have evidence that a streamer has actually acted in infraction of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all banners no matter status or prominence in the community.”.
I would like more transparency from all included, quite frankly. All this opacity and hush nonsense does is fuel speculation and report and no one deserves that. The reality will out, as they state. It constantly does. May as well dupe the band-aid and get it over with. The fact that Twitch hasnt even told Beahm the reasons (presuming thats real) is definitely ridiculous. Its certainly no other way to deal with among your most significant stars– even a star Im not personally a fan of. Its very, um, disrespectful.
Then, out of the blue, mega-Twitch streamer Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm was prohibited, apparently completely, for reasons that have yet to be made clear.
I have some concerns with this. Firstly, it makes no sense. There are 2 big reasons it makes no sense and probably a number of other smaller reasons.
Jerk released a declaration so generic its honestly unworthy printing but Ill do it anyways due to the fact that we must do our journalistic responsibility even if huge corporations cant be troubled with even the mildest scrap of openness.

Others have implicated me of masking a viewpoint piece as straight reporting– but my blog site is practically completely opinion pieces. I hardly ever report straight news. Im a critic and a think-piece guy. I do not think I drifted into idle speculation and I definitely have not leveled any accusations or presumed any theories. Ive simply stated that things dont accumulate and this whole organization is rather upsetting. Its hard not to have your mind drift to very bad things when we just dont understand, well, anything and everybody who does understand something will not comment publicly about it due to the fact that its so “delicate.”.

Reason # 2– This declaration just exposes one data point– that Twitch hasnt told Beahm why he was prohibited. It seems extremely not likely, given Reason # 1, that he is unaware and completely in the dark about the factors for the ban whether or not Twitch communicated this to him directly.
Unless … something even worse has occurred and Twitch and the handful of individuals who know whats going on arent allowed to tell Beahm anything. That conjures up some extremely bad circumstances which I wont delve into here– its not polite to hypothesize on something of this nature. Its definitely odd, and Dr. Disrespects declaration only furthers the confusion and fear were all feeling over this.
