After months of work, the Google app in late April started testing an in-app internet browser for opening Discover posts and Search engine result. It saw a broader rollout a few weeks later, but Google now looks to be going back to the previous Chrome Custom Tab execution.
Although you can disable the option to “Open web pages in Google app,” the experience of utilizing the complete Chrome web browser– rather of a Custom Tab execution– is slower. Youre essentially changing from the Google app to the complete Chrome browser for each URL.
