The Kings 1 year agreement with Atlanta was a small league deal, which would have paid him $1 million in a complete season, for a possible maximum of around $370k at 60-game prorated rates. Hernández decided following the other days group workouts. Jon Heyman reported a secondary source last night, with a good friend of the Hernández family reporting Félix wished to protect himself and his household from unwanted direct exposure.

According to Atlanta supervisor Brian Snitker, the company supports Hernández in his choice totally, and does not understand if he plans to pitch once again in 2021. Hernández will be a complimentary representative once again, most likely looking to protect a small league offer with rewards in a similar style as this winter.
