Wojnarowski has actually said sorry and called his email “rude” and “regrettable.”.
After James came out openly to back Wojnarowski, Hawley retweeted the Los Angeles Lakers star with his own pithy action: “Now attempt #FreeHongKong.”.

In an emailed press release, Hawley had called out the NBAs relationship with China, specifically the totalitarian regimes crackdown on civil liberties in Hong Kong and abuse of Muslim Uighurs.
Wojnarowski reacted to the press release, entitled “Senator Hawley blasts NBA for Kowtowing to Beijing & & Refusing to Support U.S. Military and Law Enforcement,” by replying “F– k you” to Hawleys press workplace. The Missouri Republican then published a photo of the correspondence.
Wojnarowski, with 4 million Twitter followers, is one of basketballs most influential journalists. His often-exclusive reports even have their own label– a “Woj Bomb,” which is such a widely known piece of basketball slang, its made an area in Urban Dictionary.
ESPN revealed Friday that it had actually suspended Wojnarowski, calling his F-bomb to Hawley “entirely undesirable habits.”
