The Marquette alumni team will get another possibility to declare the cash prize in The Basketball Tournament.
Jamil Wilson scored 23 points as the Golden Eagles claimed a 79-70 victory over Red Scare, a team of primarily former Dayton gamers, in the TBT semifinals on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio.
The Marquette group will play Sideline Cancer, which consists of previous Whitefish Bay Dominican star Diamond Stone, on Tuesday for the $1 million-plus jackpot in the winner-take-all competition.
The Golden Eagles lost in the national championship in 2015 and in the semifinals in 2018. This might be their best group to make that final action.

The Golden Eagles, who had a first-round bye, arrived in Columbus on July 1, so the players have invested 2 weeks far from family and friends in pursuit of the elusive TBT payday.
