Infinity Ward tries to make its ‘Call of Duty’ Border War skin less offensive – Engadget

Following Black Lives Matter protests around the globe, Activision postponed brand-new Call of Duty seasons, and it added a Black Lives Matter message to its video games. Infinity Ward promised to break down on bigotry with increased monitoring of racist product, more in-game reporting and more irreversible restrictions for repeat culprits. All of this appeared a bit superficial when the game enabled gamers to run around as killer cowboy cops created to “show them the mistake of their methods.”

A patch released Tuesday altered the name of the skin and bio. The skin itself remains the exact same.
Developing the skin in the first location wasnt a terrific concept, however Infinity Ward is fulfilling its promise to break down on racism (its own consisted of) and taking action.
