Popular chat service Discord experienced extensive server outages today. The issues began at around 5PM ET, and lasted almost an hour. Patreon, Deliveroo, GitLab, Zendesk, Medium, and lots of other websites were also down, and Cloudflare acknowledged problems with its network affected different apps and websites.

This is the 2nd significant interruption for Discord this year, after the service was struck with connectivity issues back in March. Discord and other web-based interactions services have seen a significant boost in need and use given that the coronavirus pandemic began, as a growing number of families, pals, and neighborhoods rely on these apps to remain in touch.
