The COVID-19 health crisis has actually led to another NCAA conference canceling fall sports.Brett McMurphy with Stadium reports the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will announce on Monday the cancellation of all fall sports, including football.Southern University in Baton Rouge and Grambling State in north Louisiana are two of the conferences more prominent members.The cancellation of SWAC sports would eventually lead to the cancellation of the Bayou Classic competing game between the Tigers and Jaguars. Southern was set to start their season Sept. 19 versus Alabama A&M. Grambling would have started its season versus South Alabama on Sept. 12. WDSU has requested a comment from the SWAC on this report. Currently, SWAC leaders have not reacted to our requests.
