Report: Monday “maybe too soon” for NFL, NFLPA deal on health, safety issues – NBC Sports – NFL

The NFL and NFL Players Association have been discussing a number exceptional issues that include screening frequency, opt-out treatments, the variety of preseason games, revenue losses and the overall structure of training camp. Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that development continues to be made on health and wellness issues, however that Monday is “possibly too quickly” for the two sides to bridge the staying gap.

The NFLPA has stated that the league controls the start date of camp and that players need to report as arranged. The union can file a complaint if they think the security concerns have not been correctly attended to when camps start next week.
