Jets sign first-round pick Mekhi Becton as training camp nears – New York Post

Defensive end Jabari Zuniga, quarterback James Morgan and punter Braden Mann also signed their four-year deals. The Jets now have eight of their 9 choices under agreement. The only anonymous choice is security Ashtyn Davis, a third-round choice.

With rookies reporting to training school Tuesday, the Jets were hectic getting their draft selects signed Monday.

The Jets took Becton out of Louisville, hoping he can be Sam Darnolds blindside protector for the next decade. The 6-foot-7, 364-pounder is expected to start instantly at left tackle. He is a key piece in a rebuilt offending line.

The team announced four of its picks have signed their agreements, including first-round choice Mekhi Becton. The offensive deal with gets a four-year, $18.4 million agreement with a fifth-year team choice as the 11th choice in the draft.

The Jets took Zuniga in the third round out of Florida. Morgan was a fourth-round pick from Florida International. The Jets took Mann in the sixth round out of Texas A&M.
