Reviewing his achievements, Jones provided credit to those who assisted him along the method. He brought me up one time my novice year into his workplace and stated Right now weve got 5 safeties here and youre the weakest link. Youve got to step up. He simply kept it real with me, and I went out and proved it.”
When Schad brought up the 2010s NFL All-Decade Team, an unit that boasted the likes of Eric Berry, Earl Thomas, and Eric Weddle (and not Jones), the longtime Dolphin offered his opinion on whether he thought he deserved an area, and he didnt mince words. “There is no method I should not have been on the All-Decade team,” Jones remarked. If I play again is still in the air, however you understand I feel like I got in and did everything I required to do.”

Jones describes “I had a great career. Jones is careful to keep in mind that hes extremely grateful for his time as a Dolphin and appreciated the fans in Miami in particular.
Jones didnt have as numerous kind words to state about now New York Jets head coach Adam Gase. Discussing his last years with the Dolphins, Jones explained:
It was a misunderstanding. Coach told me to come out the video game. Why are you taking a Pro Bowler out the game? Why am I turning? Why are you telling me to take a seat? However what they were trying to do was conceal. Because you had a first-round draft pick, and they understood he had to play. And the owner was taking a look at it like, Hey why did we get this man as a first-round draft pick and hes not playing? They had to validate having a first-round draft pick there, as a safety, when we had a Pro Bowl security and another decent security. Now we have to figure out OK, well, this is why we got Minkah playing. It wasnt due to the fact that of me. It was an error they made. Adam Gase wanted me out of there 18 and 19, and when the people from New England, like (Brian) Flores, arrived, it was a bad taste in their mouth since of what was being stated from Gase and his crew.
Expanding on his prospective retirement and future undertakings on or off the field, Jones, stated:

That stated, Dolphins fans are no complete strangers to nationwide disrespect to some of their greats. Heck … Zach Thomas still doesnt have a gold coat! Its likely Jones waits a long time to ever get among his own (whichs if he ever gets one at all), however as a longtime Dolphin fan, I understand that, here in South Florida, hell always be one of the most beloved players to grace the stadium.
I certainly can play once again … I simply dont know if I will. I had a couple teams call my agent, but I cant pass a physical today. A lot of groups when they call its just no point. They discover I have to have surgery. So right now, a lot of teams do not want to talk since I cant get on the field or pass the physical. However its not career ending. I dont believe it is. The doctor said I can get a surgery and play once again. In year 10, with all I have actually achieved and economically I am set, I have a couple things I have to weigh out.
Per Schad, if Jones selects not to continue his NFL career, hell concentrate on “realty and the sports agency market and some service opportunities, including going into the premium ice cream industry with Marshawn Lynch.”
