Getting ready for another baseball season, disputing whether Mookie Betts would lead the Dodgers to their first World Series title since 1988, anticipating the negative reaction the trash-can bangin Astros would receive as they criss-crossed North America.
Those storylines and more are still in play as the league gets ready for an unprecedented, virus-shortened 60-game schedule. Heaven knows what this season will appear like, or if it will be played to completion. But after months of going over health and wellness protocols, vaguely composed labor arrangements and other unforeseen topics, its finally time to get where we left off.
