Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time has a new trailer and a release date – Polygon

Fight Through Time will tie into the series finale, teaming Samurai Jack up with old allies like The Scotsman, Scaramouche, and Sir Rothchild as he travels to places– and times– introduced throughout the series. Players will be able to gear up Jack with over a lots different weapons, as well as unlocking various abilities to help defeat Akus forces.

Samurai Jacks last season aired in 2017, but the time-traveling samurai is back for a new experience in Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. The brand-new game, which puts gamers in Samurai Jacks shoes as he starts a brand-new adventure against an old opponent (Aku, who else?), will be readily available to play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One beginning Aug. 21.

The video game brings Genndy Tartakovskys iconic 2D art design into the world of 3D, and brings back Phil LaMarr as the voice of Jack, along with Greg Baldwin (who changed the late Mako throughout the programs final season) as the voice of Aku. Furthermore, the game was composed by the original shows head author Darrick Bachman, so if you discover yourself missing out on the animated series, the brand-new video game might help scratch that itch.
