Boston Red Sox left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez had “small issues” following his bout with the coronavirus and was being closed down from all baseball activities, supervisor Ron Roenicke stated Thursday.

Roenicke said Rodriguez, who was forecasted to be the Red Soxs No. 1 starter this season, had not evaluated favorable once again. Throughout screening, Roenicke said the group “found something that we require to make sure we get rid of this entirely before he gets on the field.”
