Plex is one of the most expansive media gamers and platforms on the market, but its performance grew once again this week as the company is introducing a complimentary live television service with over 80 channels that will be readily available in more than 220 countries. This live service joins the 14,000 complimentary movies, documentaries, and television shows currently available through Plex on-demand, and covers a large range of interests, from news to sports to cartoons and more.

Plex Live TV is presenting now on Apple television, iOS, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android, Android television, and desktop.

Plex says that updates for the app on Apple TV, iOS gadgets, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android mobile, Android TV, and on desktop to include live TV functionality are presenting now, while updates for smart TVs and video gaming consoles are coming shortly. Once it appears, you can tailor it to your taste or conceal it altogether.

As Plex notes on its blog site, it was formerly just possible to enjoy local channels live through Plex with an antenna, a tuner, and Plex Pass, however now you can include 80+ streaming channels to your lineup with no extra hardware.
