Its being established by Rabbit & & Bear – a new Tokyo-based studio founded by key creators of the Suikoden series – and is handling the kind of a Kickstarter project thats launching on 27th July (aka tomorrow).
According to the main PR, Eiyuden Chronicle is an ode to classic JRPG from the PlayStation era and will include both exploration and fights in high-resolution 2.5 D graphics, pixel-based characters, and a story about war and friendship. There are also more than 100 heroes to hire and a fortress building system – enabling gamers to grow their army. Heres a bit extra:
The story will be written by Suikoden, Suikoden II and The Alliance Alive writer, Yoshitaka Murayama.
In order for this video game to go ahead, it requires $500,000 USD (before 28th August) for a PC release. This will then open stretch goals for a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of the game. The targeted release date is fall 2022.
The game will feature a guild system that allows gamers to change their fortress associates based upon the guild they sign up with. Fights will be turn-based with celebrations of as much as 6 members and function dynamic boss battles that change electronic camera angle and turn depending on the environment.
