When Metal Gear Solid V was launched, hidden in the code was a cutscene created to just play as soon as every nuke in the video game had been discovered and ruined. Earlier today, nearly five years later on, that cutscene was activated for anybody left playing on PlayStation 3.
This achievement was when thought almost difficult, since it counted on gamers– who might develop nukes whenever they desired– banding together to get the number down faster than it could be raised by more being constructed (or hacked into the game).
As the MGSV Nuke Watcher shows, on PC there are still over 19,000 nukes on that plaform, while on PS4 there are around 2500. The PS3s player base has dropped to a point where a severe run might be made at this, and as the video above programs, it was certainly timestamped July 27 (at time of posting, the Nuke Watcher has the PS3s tally sitting at around 40, presumably having been constructed after the number reached absolutely no earlier in the day).
Obviously this isnt the first time weve seen the video, because it was inadvertently played for PC users back in 2018, which triggered an apology from Konami. This time, it looks like PS3 gamers really earned it.
