Pham was facing SF Giants reducer Sam Coonrod in the top of the 8th– when a slider moved a little too far and strike Tommy right in the guy scrap!!!
The pitch was clocked at 86 MPH– which aint exactly sluggish– however somehow, Pham wasnt harmed.
In truth, he dealt with the circumstance so well, Pham got props from Giants expert Mike Krukow on the broadcast.
